Fun day at the 2024 Athletics Carnival!

On 15 August, the AIS track was buzzing with excitement as students and staff gathered for the much-anticipated rescheduled 2024 Athletics Carnival. This annual event is always a highlight of the school calendar, and this year was no exception. From the first whistle to the final race, the day was marked by incredible displays of athleticism, determination, and, most importantly, school spirit.

The sun shone brightly as students from all houses competed in a wide range of events, from sprints and relays to long jumps and shot put. It was a day that showcased not only physical prowess but also the camaraderie and teamwork that make our school community so special. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and encouragement ringing out from every corner of the field.

While every house put in an outstanding effort, it was Koorilla that emerged victorious, claiming the top spot with an impressive performance across the board. Congratulations to Koorilla for their well-deserved win, and to all the other houses for their determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.

A huge thank you goes out to the staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the day ran smoothly. From organising events to officiating and offering words of encouragement, your contributions were invaluable. These events wouldn’t be possible without your dedication and hard work.

As we reflect on the success of this year’s carnival, we’re already looking forward to making next year’s event even bigger and better. With the continued enthusiasm and support of our school community, the 2025 Athletics Carnival is sure to be another day to remember.
