Year 7 are global citizens

Year 7 Humanities students understand that they are global citizens and as such have been applying their understanding of liveability and sustainability to design innovative new town centres for the future. Places where communities will be drawn together, sharing resources and using them mindfully. Students have been reading about cities such as Vienna and Copenhagen, recently rated the top 2 most liveable cities in the world, according to the Global Liveability Index. Using the LearnPaths through the Resource Centre, students developed persuasive design briefs which rationalized their designs, encouraging their audience to consider their town centre as the most liveable and sustainable. Students applied their mapping skills to develop plans for their town centres, complimenting their brief.
