Yr 9’s 2,023 volunteering hours
March 9, 2023One of the goals for our Year 9 group is to have all the students engage in volunteering at some stage throughout the year.
In 2023 we are striving to collectively do 2023 volunteering hours across the year group. During the year we will provide opportunities for the Year 9 students to assist in the community. Already some of our students have been involved in helping our community and lending their time and skills at the St John the Apostle School Fete, St John’s Swimming Carnival and St Vincent’s Swimming Carnival.
To complement the volunteering organised by the school, many students have organised their own volunteering which included school BBQs and The Multicultural Festival. Students can include those hours of volunteering to go towards their recognition here at school.
In appreciation of the students’ volunteering hours, students will receive certificates recognising the number of hours of service they have contributed to our community.
- Bronze Certificate (10 hours)
- Silver Certificate (20 hours)
- Gold Certificate (50 hours)
- Diamond Certificate (70 hours)
Our hope is that all Year 9 students can add one of these certificates to their resumes.
