We are delighted to share the achievements of even more of our students.

Cross Country

Katie White, in Year 7, competed in her first ever Cross Country Nationals Championship held at Kembla Grange, Wollongong from 23 to 26 August.  Katie came 70th out of the 88 under 13 year old girls running the 3km.

On the Monday, Katie competed in the time trial where she was the first ACT Under 13’s girl to cross the line and 3rd girl nationally.

Golf

Riley Willcox, in Year 12, recently Captained the ACT Golf team in WA for National Golf Championships. The tournament was gruelling with players playing 36 holes per day. Well done Riley!

Calisthenics

Sophie Hind and Ashley Hayduk both represented the ACT at the Nationals Calisthenics competition in Perth in July. Both girls were in the Junior Graceful section and Sophie also competed in the Intermediates Team competition. Well done girls, we can’t wait to see phots!

Netball

Carys Musolino, in Year 8, submitted a successful application to officiate at the upcoming U/12 Netball School Sports National Championships on 16-20 September. It is great to see such a talented netball player giving back to the sport and helping in this way.

Nicole Gray, in Year 8, has been selected to play in a netball tournament in Singapore from 21 November to 2 December 2019. This is an incredible opportunity and we are so excited to hear how the tournament goes.

Congratulations to our Year 7/8 netball team who won the ACT Netball Champions on 27 August.

Cycling

Josh Bates, in Year 10, has been selected to represent the ACT at Junior Road Nationals at the Gold Coast from 18 – 20 September. We wish him well at what we’re sure will be an intense competition.

Mountain Bike Racing

Thirteen of our Students participated in the MTB championships last Friday. The students had a great day out, and rode successfully on the day.

Rugby and Touch Football

Well done to Chelsea Tobin in Year 10, who played rugby union for the ACT Brumbies in the National Schoolgirls Tournament in July.

Chelsea will also be away from 17 September to 20 September as she is representing ACT in the Touch Football Under 18s National Youth Championships in QLD. We wish her and the rest of the ACT Raiders the best of luck.

Oztag

Congratulations to our Year 9/10 Oztag teams who both won their grand finals on 2 September at the North vs South Gala Day. Well done to the Year 7/8 girls who came in a close third ACT Oztag.
