SFX Day 2019 | Friday 8 November
November 6, 2019Students and staff will celebrate SFX Day Mass, partake in trivia, games, food, and attend SFX’s Battle of the Bands concert this Friday.
Each year, we celebrate our patron saint on SFX Day. The day is also an opportunity to raise funds for one of SFX’s charities, the Good Samaritan Sisters in Kiribati.
Attendance
SFX Day is a compulsory day for students to attend, including Senior students. The day will run with normal bell times in the morning and afternoon (Senior students are required to stay at school till 3pm). All late and full day absences will be required to be explained.
If a student is required to leave school during the day, please send them in with a note from home. Due to the students being in various locations throughout the school, we will be unable to locate them. Announcements will not be made to locate students as it will interrupt the day.
SFX Day Mass
The day commences with SFX Day Mass at 9am. Only students who attend Mass in the morning are invited to attend the Battle of the Bands in the afternoon.
Non-uniform
Students are invited to come in non-uniform, wearing appropriate clothing (including appropriate footwear – no thongs or high heels). They are reminded to dress appropriately for Mass. The forecast looks chilly, so bring a jumper!
Buying tokens – Bring cash!
Students are reminded that it is a cash only day. Students use cash to buy tokens which will be the currency to make purchases from the food and games stalls, and the raffles. The tokens are available to purchase from Pastoral Leaders in the morning and throughout the day.
There are no EFTPOS/ATM facilities for students to purchase tokens using a card. Students will not be able to leave the school to withdraw money.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Happy SFX Day!!!!
