The Social Science Department incorporates the disciplines of:

  • Behavioural Science (Psychology and Sociology)
  • Business
  • Commerce
  • Geography
  • History
  • Legal Studies.

By studying a Social Science discipline, students explore and critically construct their knowledge and understanding about the society in which they live and their place within it. They are provided with opportunities to investigate the changing world in terms of natural and social systems, culture, place and resources, examining how these changes influence and impact upon their lives, the society and the environment.

Social Science promotes and encourages students to become well informed and active citizens who are able to make judgements and critical decisions about the world in which they live.
