We held a liturgy to mark the beginning of Lent. Ash Wednesday is a Catholic ritual of placing ashes on people's foreheads as a symbol of our mortality and repentance to God. One of the inspirational quotes came from Mother Teresa:

"I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us,
and we change things"

Please note: 

From Tuesday 2 August 2016 Gungahlin Bus Station Platform 1 on Hibberson Street will be temporarily relocated, for approximately 6 - 8 weeks. This is to allow for construction on The Marketplace expansion. Please see attached map of the bus stop relocation.
 
Platform 1 (Stop ID 7002) will be relocated to Gozzard Street, near the Raiders Club. Platform 2 (Stop ID 7004) and the bus stops at the eastern end of Hibberson Street near Kate Crace Street will continue to operate. Shelters and seating will be provided at the temporary bus station. We ask students and parents to please plan ahead and use NXTBUS to avoid delays.

The staff and students of St Francis Xavier College are proud to invite you to assembled. The 2014 Electives Showcase is on Wednesday November 5, 6pm - 8pm at the College. It is a collection of a work celebrating the students contributions from the Visual Art, Food and Textile, Technology, Performing Arts and Applied Technology Departments. All welcome.

From Thursday 18 September to Tuesday 30 September eight Year 11 students, along with SFX teachers Bridie McNeill and Sue Carroll, will travel to the remote Aboriginal community of Warralong in the Pilbara, Western Australia, for an immersion experience. This program is organised through Catholic Mission and provides participants with the opportunity to gain insight into the realities of life for Indigenous people living on their land.
