SFX Alumni Working for Justice on Caritas Committee

Two of our distinguished alumni of 2018 are the youngest members of the Caritas Committee in the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn.

Trish Chipangura (former Spirituality Captain and winner of the Endeavour award for 2018) and Luke Houghton (former School Captain) are both passionate about social justice and joined the committee this year.

Caritas Australia’s major fundraiser takes place during the Lenten season, and attempts to raise over 10 million dollars for aid and development projects in countries across the world.

Trish and Luke were the emcees for Caritas’ annual event “Caritas Kitchen” last Wednesday which saw a simple meal shared at St Christopher’s Pastoral Centre and around 100 people from the Archdiocese in attendance.
