SFX show support on IWD

Last week SFX celebrated all the incredible women within our community—our teachers, our support staff, our students, our mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, doctors, engineers, authors, mathematicians, entrepreneurs, advocates and survivors—the list goes on, but you get the picture….

This year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) theme was #BreakTheBias. Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough—action is needed to level the playing field.

Individually, we’re all responsible for our thoughts and actions, but together we can break the bias in our communities, our workplaces and our schools to make the future for women one they deserve.

The love and support was definitely felt throughout the College last Tuesday.
