Resource Centre

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday: 8am – 4pm

The Resource Centre (RC) constitutes an essential element of St Francis Xavier College. Our RC staff are wholeheartedly committed to providing and encouraging access to a broad spectrum of resources that cater to the educational needs and interests of all members of our staff and student body. By supporting the College’s vision and mission statements, the RC enriches and strengthens our educational philosophy while promoting self-sufficiency and fostering an interest and appreciation in literacy. The RC aims to empower both staff and students to acquire the skills necessary to identify, locate, organise, and articulate information in a compelling and succinct manner, as the contemporary landscape demands.

As the landscape of information continues to evolve, it is imperative that students possess the proficiencies required to navigate complex and multifaceted formats. Therefore, the RC is devoted to facilitating the development of 21st century competencies and fostering lifelong interests in reading and knowledge acquisition. In line with the curriculum, the needs of the school community, and the broader world, the RC boasts an effective library that enables students to pursue their academic goals.
