Character development in Japanese
December 9, 2022Year 7 students have enjoyed a variety of end of year activities in Japanese classes, using their knowledge of language and culture to engage in creative collaborations. The activities included onigiri rice ball making and decorating competitions, origami (paper folding) stars and kirigami (paper cutting) Christmas trees.
This week’s classes also enjoyed a blue sky classroom, practicing their Japanese characters with invisible ink before going outside to decorate the paths around SFX with chalk drawn characters to consolidate their kanji learning.
Our Year 7 students have made an incredible start to their high school Japanese studies. We wish them and their families a wonderful holiday season.
Our Japanese teachers look forward to welcoming students back in 2022 as they dive into their Year 8 studies of Japanese.
