Moderation Day 2: Year 11/12 students

Students who wish to obtain an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) must undertake the ACT Scaling Test (AST). To help tertiary students prepare for this important assessment of their ability, they will be required to attend College on Moderation Day 2, Thursday 12 August.
College uniform must be worn while in attendance.
Year 11 students
Students who are undertaking a tertiary package and intend to obtain an ATAR next year will be required to attend college from 8.50am to 11.45am to participate in an AST Writing Task trial. This trial will be completed using the same conditions, procedures and timings the ACT BSSS stipulates for the actual AST Writing Task.
Formal results and detailed feedback regarding this task will be given to students in due course.
Students should assemble at the top of D Block by 8.50am.
Year 12 students
Year 12 students wishing to obtain an ATAR are required to attend college from 8.50am to 11.45am. The students will be sitting the ACT Scaling Test on Tuesday 31 August and Wednesday 1 September. Full details for these two days will be given to students, along with strategies on how each student will be able to maximise their mark.
Students will also obtain an ATAR estimate based on their 3 semesters of tertiary results at this time. Please discuss this estimate with your child and the implications for their future tertiary studies.
The students will also participate in a shortened version of the AST Multiple Choice Task focussing solely on quantitative style questions.
Students should assemble in the HUB by 8.50am.
