Foundation students plant sale
December 9, 2022The Year 9 and 10 Foundations students have worked tirelessly over the last semester on a garden project.
They worked together to solve problems, apply their functional literacy and numeracy skills in a real-world context. Students not only selected what plants would grow in the school greenhouse, they then planted the seeds out and nurtured them to produce over 180 pots of vegetables and herbs.
These pots were recently sold to our green thumb staff members at a lunchtime market event. The proceeds of this market will be donated to the student’s chosen charity, Oz Harvest.
Students should be commended on their hard work, commitment, and work skill development. They all have some valuable credentials to add to their resumes.
