Principal’s Blog – November 2019
November 19, 2019We have had an exciting couple of weeks with SFX Day, the Elective Showcase and the Year 12 Final Assembly.
SFX Day
On Friday 8 November, we celebrated with SFX Day with Mass, trivia, games, food and Battle of the Bands. It was a fabulous day of festivities as we remembered and celebrated the values of our patron saint, St Francis Xavier, and the wonderful opportunity of being in community at SFX. You can read more about SFX Day 2019 here.
Endeavour Awards
On SFX Day, the Endeavour Awards were presented. They are awarded to the student in each year group who has worked throughout the year to build community spirit. The students must have demonstrated:

The Elective Showcase

Farewell to Year 12
I would finally like to say best of luck to all the Senior students undertaking exams, particularly Year 12 who had their last day at SFX on Wednesday 13 November. The Year 12 Pastoral leaders and the Canteen staff hosted a farewell breakfast for the students, followed by a College Assembly. It was a lovely morning for Year 12 and the entire school to reflect on their final year, and to see the enormous changes that have occurred during their time at SFX.
I wish them the best of luck for the future and remind them as they continue their journey, they are still very much part of the SFX community. A big “thank you” to Cathy Barry and all the Pastoral leaders for the guidance and care they have given to the current Year 12 students over the years.
Best wishes,
Paul Carroll
