Songwriting Competition

The SFX Annual Songwriting Competition was held earlier in Term 3 and creators performed their works at lunch time to a large student audience. Students who entered this contest were also working towards entering Triple J’s Unearthed High Competition and so the standard of entries was fierce and competitive.

The winners of this Year’s Competition were 3 Piece Meal featuring Marc Cheah, Raziel Colina-Alcazar and Elijah Logan with a fast paced and catchy rhythm and melodic lines, followed very closely in second place with Organised Chaos featuring Clare Bakonji, Imogen Burgess, Grace Mullin, Olive Mullin, Annie Pindral and Samantha Tilyard with a brilliantly structured song and great vocal harmonies, while Huon Hogg and Emilio Hill placed third with a super grungy guitar riff and drum part. Congratulations to all who participated in this year’s event.
