Ancient societies

May 12, 2023

In Term 1, Year 7 Humanities students learnt about the historical significance of the past and the histories of ancient societies including the early First Nations Peoples of Australia. They identified the causes and effects of events, developments and achievements connected to groups and individuals in Australia and other societies from the ancient past. A part of this learning was to select an ancient civilization and develop a set of inquiry questions which would drive their research, as well as create a primary source artefact from this culture. The artefacts which were created were amazing! So we’ve placed some of these, as well as photographs of students presenting their inquiries, on display in the Resource Centre Display cabinet. Come and have a look at how talented our Year 7 students are!
