Every year UNSW Canberra recognises and celebrates the strength of female students in mathematics by awarding the UNSW Canberra Prize for Best Female Student in Mathematics.  For the third year running, SFX was asked to participate in these awards by nominating top students in Year 8 and Year 9 mathematics (2019).  The following SFX students received an award:

 Year 8

Anna Finkle (1st place)

Ruby Donohue (Runner up)

Millie Alston-Campbell (Runner up)

Year 9

Indyanna Marshall (1st place)

Violet Bui (Runner up)

Anna and Indyanna and their families were invited to an awards ceremony held at UNSW to receive their certificates and prizes.  I wish to congratulate all six award recipients as well as the many other SFX students who were nominated for these awards.
