SFX Winners @ da Vinci Decathlon
June 22, 2018On Thursday 31 May, 15 Year 7 and 8 students participated in the annual da Vinci Decathlon held at Canberra Grammar.
The students displayed exemplary behaviour and manners, and had a lot of fun during the day.
Students compete in 10 categories against 51 other teams of Year 7 and 8 students from other ACT and regional NSW schools.
As there are so many teams that they compete against, any top 10 result is great. The Year 8 team ranked fifth in Creative Producers. The Year 7 team ranked tenth in Art and Poetry, ninth in English and seventh in General Knowledge. They were called onto the stage because they came third in Creative Producers and finally, they came first place in the ACT for Engineering!! This is very prestigious and they were presented with a certificate for this award.
The students were nominated by numerous teachers to take part in the day. Congratulations to the following students:
Year 7: Carys Musolino, Claire Rabbets, Anna Finkle, Jett McDonald, Kyle Walton, Sebastian Braybon, and Ellen Carlile.
Year 8: Breanna Kelly, Raymond Doan, Joven May, Sebastian Smith, Will Debenham, Ben O’Connor, Mia Simunec, and Sienna Nash.
