Toy Construction in Science

October 22, 2018

By Kathryn Black

Over 4 weeks at the end of Term 3, Year 7 learned about simple machines and  forces, area and perimeter, and the engineering process by designing and building a toy made out of everyday materials. Each lesson they would work on their toy’s construction and then reflect on the process and develop ways of improving their toy. The students were highly engaged, very creative and produced some wonderful toys that they are now looking forward to playing with at home.
