Violet breaks Aussie record

June 2, 2023

Violet N (Year 9) recently competed at the NSW/ACT State Championships held at Harrison School and ended up walking away with 7 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals and therefore Overall Age Champion.

Violet also broke two Australian records, one with her team speed as well as her individual Triple Unders event. Violet scored 98 and beat the record by 1. This means her rope goes under her feet 3 times with each jump. This is an amazing achievement as Violet has never skipped 98 consecutive triples ever before.

Violet has also been selected to represent Australia in the Australian Skipping Team at the World Jump Rope Championships in Colorado Springs in July. Violet is competing in 9 events ranging from individual and team speed events, double dutch and freestyle.

Violet’s dedication to the sport and trying to achieve her best and reach her goals it what she loves the most about skipping.

Well done Violet and we wish you the best in the upcoming National Championships in June in Penrith as well as the Worlds Championships.
