SFX Athletics Carnival Notices

LOCATION: AIS Athletics Track, Bruce
WHEN: Thursday, 24th May 2018. Morning roll call will be at the AIS at 8.30am and students will be dismissed from the AIS at 2pm, either to make their own way home or to catch the SFX buses back to College (see below for details). Students wishing to race in the 1500m event must be at the track by 7:50am for marshalling and will need to make their own transport arrangements there for this event. Any students wishing to leave the Carnival early must supply a signed permission note from their parent/guardian.
TRANSPORT: Students are asked to find their own way to and from the venue.
Buses can be provided to transport those students who are unable to make their own way to the venue, and can return students to the College in time to catch scheduled school buses home. Buses will ONLY be provided for those students who complete the attached bus slip and return it to the Student Office by Friday, 18th May 2018.
No notes will be accepted after this date.
CANTEEN: The canteen will be open for snacks, however students are encouraged to bring their own lunch and recess and have adequate refreshments (especially water).
SUNSAFE: All students are reminded to protect themselves from the elements with sunscreen, hats, long sleeved T-shirts, warm jumpers and tracksuit pants. Students are encouraged to enter into the spirit of the day, which includes the wearing of House colours, instead of normal school uniform.
CANCELLATION: Facebook and all major radio stations will broadcast, from 7:30am any cancellation due to inclement weather. Students are then expected to report for a normal school day.
SECURITY: Students should not bring electronic equipment or excessive amounts of money or footballs. Students will not be allowed to leave the venue during the day unless written permission has been received from parents to respective Pastoral Leaders.
