Broody chickens and Frog Pond installation
October 27, 2022As the weather warms up the SFX garden is becoming a busy place.
Recently we noticed that our silkie chicken, called Kylie was broody. She was desperate to hatch some baby chicks. Luckily one Year 8 student offered to donate some fertilised eggs, so we now have Kylie hatching her eggs.
We have also started construction of our frog pond in the Bush Tucker Garden bed. It has been hard work and many hours of digging, weeding and measuring up the space for the frog pond. Eventually, we got the frog pond in, levelled it and can begin the rest of the design. We will keep you posted with the frog pond update.
Everyone is welcome to visit the garden at any time and help out or just chat with the chooks!
